  • The Laugh Button Podcast Round-Up | 12.23 – 12.29

While most of us were on the road heading home for the holidays, the comedians behind your favorite podcasts were still hard at work giving us the gift of laughs.

Correspondingly Adam Carolla sat down with Seth MacFarlane to find out what the man behind Stewie is all about while Tom Scharpling hosted the holiday party of a lifetime alongside John Hodgman, Ted Leo, and David Rees.

But that’s not all, we also saw appearances from comedians such as David Alan Grier, Mike Birbiglia, and Doug Benson as well as visionaries such as Ira Glass and Bryan Cranston. In other words weather your sense of humor is ultra low-brow or hyper intellectual, we’re sure you can find something to enjoy on this week’s Podcast Round-Up. Read More

Broken Lizard are back with another film. It’s been a while since the comedy troupe released a film, even though they always seem to have something in production you’ll have to go back to 2009 for their last flick, The Slammin’ Salmon now we have ourselves The Babymakers.

The flick stars Paul Schneider (Parks And Recreation) in the lead role who is trying to have a child with his wife, played by Olivia Munn (The Daily Show). When you think of couples with fertility issues you may head down the role of a romantic comedy, but leave it up to the Broken Lizard guys to turn the whole thing into a heist film about stealing sperm. 1. Count all the money we didn’t spend on Christmas gifts
    2. Pray to our G-d: Adam Sandler
    3. Drive around and look at the funny displays on the Gentile’s front yards
    4. Get our taxes done early
    5. Remind Jewish kids that Santa doesn’t exist and even though Christmas sounds cool now, you’ll make it up on the back end when your parents’ pay for college and help you pay rent until your 30
    6. Explain to all of our Gentile neighbors that Chanukah is not today
    7. Go camping (just kidding, Jews don’t camp.)
    8. Thank Gentiles for giving us a free day to nothing but ski, go to movies and eat Chinese food!

Watch Giulia Rozzi Lay Down A Lexus Holiday Commercial Parody

It’s Christmas time and we’re bombarded with ads for the holiday season. Perhaps the most irksome ones are those that somehow assume people have enough money floating around that they are willing to purchase a loved one a car. “Honey I love you, I’m going to play you a little jingle and give you a new Lexus.”

Well comedian Giulia Rozzi gathered some of her friends and decided to make a video send-up of said video parodies.

Giulia and Margot Leitman will be performing their show, Stripped Stories Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre next week on Dec 29, 930pm. $5 tickets can be reserved here.
