I’m quite the fan of T.J. Miller and his rap-comedy antics. From the moment I heard the self-titled track on his latest rap album, The Extended Play E.P. [TLB Review] I thought the track was worth of one of his videos. Now, nearly 4 months later, I got my wish.

I was sitting on my couch, minding my own business watching House and at one scene when we found our intrepid doctor in his office talking to a colleague I happened to notice a photo on the desk behind House, and upon further review it turns out that Gregory House M.D. worships at the altar of Stephen Colbert. It’s always fun when a former Saturday Night Live cast member returns to host the show. It usually acts as a good time to revive some old sketches and wax nostalgic. Is also usually means some cast members from their era show up making it a fun night of SNL times.
Maya Rudolph was the host of the show last night coming off Bridesmaids and currently doing kickass work on Up All Night. Rudolph is also known for her Whitney Houston impressions and with the recent passing of the singer, there’s definitely a possibility we’d see some sorta homage to Whitney. In the wake of Louis C.K.‘s success selling his stand-up special by himself, another heavy hitting comedian is going to sell his next special by himself. Earlier this week, Jim Gaffigan announced that he too will be offering up his next stand-up comedy special, Mr. Universe via his website for the direct-to-fan price of $5 beginning this April. Earlier this week Saturday Night Live held auditions at The Pit in NYC in front of show bigwigs like Lorne Michaels and head writer Seth Meyers. What does this mean? It means that as we hit the mid-season mark they are eyeing the future. Checking out possible new players as contracts expire and some of the older cast mates move onto other things.
