  • Get out and support Caleb Medley at these benefit shows

It’s been a little over a week since comedian Caleb Medley was one of those shot at the midnight screening of The Dark Knight Rises in a movie theater in Aurora, CO. Caleb was struck in the head, has since lost an eye and put into a medically-induced coma.

Since the shooting, Caleb became a father as his wife gave birth to a baby boy, Hugo, just hours after the shooting. Many graciously donated to his fund to pay for mounting medical bills. Now some fellow comedians are coming together to put on benefit shows to raise even more money for the comedian. Read the rest of this entry

Well, I guess The Hangover 3 is happening. There is this poster after all.

They’re still going through with another installment of The Hangover. How do we know this you ask? Well first off, the last movie made $500 million worldwide. And second of all, the flick’s movie house released a promotional image for the movie. And we all know if the image exists, the movie will as well.

While the image reveals nothing about the plot this time around, I’m going to go out on a limb here and assume they took the screenplay for the first movie and crossed out all mentions of Las Vegas. Then they crossed out all mentions of when they crossed out Las Vegas and penciled in Bangkok for the second album. And for the third movie, they will just pencil in a new exotic locale and get a different cute little animal (my vote is French Bulldog or a Corgi). Then again, no great trilogy is complete without Ewoks, so maybe the new exotic location is the moon of Endor! **throws hands to the heavens in jubilation**

Schumer, Jeselnik, and Ross on the dais for the Roast of Roseanne Barr

The Comedy Central Roast of Roseanne Barr is set to be recorded next week in LA. One of the largest questions always asked is who will be on hand to fire barbs at the guest of honor. EW is reporting our predicted comedians on the dais will include Jeff Ross, Amy Schumer, and Anthony Jeselnik with the previously announced roastmaster Jane Lynch.

There’s always a few stars that show up to these as well, this time around Sharon Stone, Carrie Fisher, Katey Segal, and Seth Green will all join in on the roasting action.

This lineup does raise the question as to the small amount of comedians on the dais. While Jeselnik, Schumer, and Ross are more than capable to handle the task at hand, celebs aren’t often as good at the biting jokes. And biting they are! We caught Anthony Jeselnik’s performance at Just For Laughs and he gave a preview of some of his jokes for the roast, he is going to destroy!

The roast will tape this weekend, August 4th and air on Comedy Central August 12th.

UPDATE: Gilbert Gottfried, Ellen Barkin, and Wayne Brady have been added to the dais.

An interview with My Damn Channel creator, Rob Barnett

During the madness of Just For Laughs we got the chance to sit down with the founder of My Damn Channel, Rob Barnett. Barnett and My Damn Channel are about to celebrate its 5th year in business. We sat down to talk with Barnett to get advice on the changing state of the industry and building an audience.

    Happy birthday, first of all!

(laughs) Thank you! Yeah, where’s my cake? Read the rest of this entry
