  • Jon Glaser is headed to Pawnee for Parks And Recreation arc

I dig how many guest people drop in on Parks And Recreation – funny people like Louis C.K., Nick Kroll, and Megan Mullally have all made guest stints on the show. But next season, Pawnee will be turned in to “The Bone Zone” when Jon Glaser comes to town (or maybe the Scone Zone.

Glaser, the creator/star of the hilarious Delocated will have an arc on Parks as a town councilman who eventually becomes Leslie Knope’s (Amy Poehler) nemesis. Read the rest of this entry

This is how Creed Bratton of The Office thinks Todd Akin should’ve apologized

By now, everyone has heard about U.S. Rep. Todd Akin’s comments on how “legitimate rape” rarely results in pregnancy. While he has since apologized, many simply aren’t accepting it. Well maybe he should’ve taken some advice from Creed Bratton.

The Office’s very own Bratton teamed up with Funny Or Die to create a parody of Akin’s video apology, including plenty of innuendos and a cover of “My Akin Breakin’ Heart.” While the comments have caused lots of outrage amongst many (and rightfully so), it is pretty entertaining to watch Akin getting made fun of, especially by Creed Bratton.

Rob Riggle to replace Frank Caliendo on FOX NFL Pregame Show

FOX is making a comedian change on it’s NFL PregameShow. After nine years as the funny person/impressionist to the show, producers are replacing Frank Caliendo on the top-rated show with former Daily Show correspondent Rob Riggle.

The motive for the move seems to be the need for a change. Producer Chris Pizzi stated, “Nothing against Frank, we love Frank. But it’s been nine years. We wanted something fresh. Rob is on the edge of becoming a huge star. We want to help him. And that helps our show too. Now, everybody just knows him as the guy in that movie.” The interest in ex-marine pilot Riggle existed long before his recent hosting gig on the ESPY Awards.

Riggle isn’t known for doing any impressions of John Madden or George Bush like Caliendo but he is good at shouting catch phrases like “In The Face!” so that could work well when it comes to offering commentary on tackles.

Our visit to the You Know What Dude! podcast

The other day we stopped by the studios above NYC’s Comedy Cellar for a taping of Robert Kelly’s You Know What Dude! podcast. It was the second time we were invited on the show and what a difference time makes. Robert began the podcast a few years ago just taping it on his phone to now having a nice setup of a studio able to accommodate co-hosts and guest. It’s come a long way.

We dropped by to recount our travels to the Just For Laughs festival with a life-sized cutout of Robert in tow, taping an impromptu podcast with “Robert,” Dan Soder, and Joe List while there in Montreal. Read the rest of this entry
