  • 5 Reasons To Watch “Money From Strangers” With Jeff Dye

On his new TV show Money From Strangers, comedian Jeff Dye wants to give you cash, but there’s a catch, you really have to work for it. Dye finds people on the street and offers them the chance to play the game. The willing participant then gets an earbud from Dye who watches on hidden cameras with other comedian friends (I spotted Joe Mande, Kurt Braunohler, Ali Wong, Moshe Kasher, Streeter Seidell, Jordan Carlos, and Eric Andre in the trailer) who tell their pawn to do and say things around the city that earn them money. Buffoonery at it’s finest!

We caught up with Dye and asked him to give us 5 Reasons we should watch Money From Strangers. Let ‘er rip Jeff.

    Reason #5
New York City. This isn’t some fake Hollywood show where we stage crap. This is actual strangers pranking other actual strangers in a town that will hit you with a lead pipe before assuming they’re on a TV show.

    Reason #4
Comedians!!!! You don’t see enough stand up/sketch/improv comics on TV anymore. In the reality show age it’s all socialites running around on our TV. This show brings the BEST comics you may have or haven’t heard of. People who’s only agenda is funny! No celebs just for the sake of star power, just FUNNY people.

    Reason #3
Edgy and fun. There are pranks for everyone. We definitely push the limits with some pranks but there are plenty of nerdy reference pranks, cerebral pranks/jokes, immature, silly, and everything in between. Everyone will laugh at something on this show!

    Reason #2
The President of MTV doesn’t want to watch a creep in a van mess with strangers.

    Reason #1
MEEEEE, finally the world will get to see how weird and fun my comedy is. Also I’m very sociopathic so why wouldn’t I say myself.

Money from Strangers premieres on Monday April 30th at 10:30pm ET on MTV. Tune in!
