    Richard Pryor Boxed Set

When it comes to stand-up comedy legends, two names instantly come to mind: George Carlin and Richard Pryor. Pryor’s been delighting audiences since the early 1970’s with his unique blend of storytelling and contemporary issues. In fact, giving his material a play these days shows just how fresh and relative it still is. For those that weren’t around in Pryor’s heyday or want to own a modern form of the comedian’s work, you are in luck! A new Richard Pryor boxed set, No Pryor Restraint: Life In Concert is set for release on June 11th, 2013. The boxed set features both familiar and rare material from the comedian’s time between 1966 to 1992.

This is the most comprehensive collection of Pryor’s work ever released, and features personal notes written by Pryor, as well as rare photographs, celebrity tributes, and a note penned by his widow Jennifer Lee Pryor. The box set contains seven CDs, and two DVDs, totaling a running time of over 12 hours. It will be a must have for any fan of this classic, and timeless comedian.

You can pre-order the set here and get it shipped to you before street date. I’m not sure how things get much better than this.
