The great thing about sketch comedy is that you have a lot of different people doing a lot of different things in order to make you laugh. Frog Island is the sketch comedy group for the YouTube generation. Not content in doing hacky improve exercises ad nauseum, they perform sketch comedy that deals with race, religion, and social issues (all while being funny of course).

They’ve been together for 5 years, and performed for packed houses at places like The Hollywood Improv, El Cid, and The Comedy Central Stage. Frog Island were the recipients of the 2007 Independent Television Award for their sketch pilot Loading Zone, and were finalists in the NBC It’s Your Show Competition.

Their online sketch content has competed and won Atom.com’s Upload Showdown, and has accumulated over 6 million hits on their Youtube page.
