AARP announced the formation of an in-house production studio called AARP Studios. Along with the formation of the studio, they also announced the first project, and it’s with a comedy legend, the one and only Don Rickles will host a 10-episode series called Dinner With Don. It sounds exactly what you’d think it is, Don Rickles sits down and has a meal at his favorite LA restaurants with his comedy brethren. The likes of Billy Crystal, Robert De Niro, Jimmy Kimmel, Amy Poehler, Vince Vaughn, Paul Rudd, Marisa Tomei, and Martin Scorsese are all set to appear on the show.
While “dinner with” isn’t a new concept to television – JB Smoove and Jon Favreau have both recently pulled off the idea, we have a feeling nobody will mind breaking bread with a living legend. The show has plenty of firepower behind it as folks that worked on major reality shows like The Apprentice and for Mark Burnett Productions are behind the show. The premiere date of Dinner With Don is set to be announced in the first quarter of 2017.
