Doug Stanhope Returns “Before Turning The Gun On Himself” March 6th

Doug Stanhope has been really prolific with the comedy albums as of late with a steady stream of releases coming at us at nearly a yearly pace. It’s great to see such consistent and great comedians as Doug keep consistent with the releases for they keep us all on our toes.

We loved his 2011 album, Oslo: Burning The Bridge To Nowhere [TLB Review] and even declared it one of our top albums of the year. So it’s pretty safe to say we’re pretty damn excited about what we have in store this time around.

The new album, Before Turning The Gun On Himself… will be released digitally on March 6th via Roadrunner Comedy. Though it’s only a few weeks away, you can preview the album with this nifty eCard. And, check out the second quote, his camp gave us a little bit of love. Thumbs up to us! Read More

And you know what? He’s getting some help from an unlikely ally for the recorded special as the special was directed by mater of horror himself, Rob Zombie. So, a stand-up special with go-go dancers, blood, and murderers? Not exactly.

Papa voiced El Super Beasto in an animated feature for Zombie back in the day. So ya see? Bros. Papa has been a kickass comedian for years and has been a touring mate for Jerry Seinfeld for years. Read More
