Today marks the one-year anniversary of the death of stand-up comedian, Patrice O’Neal. For those that knew him and those that enjoyed his comedy it’s still very upsetting to think about. His comedic genius and respect from other comedians ranks him among the best. Today also marks the announcement of a huge benefit concert in honor of the late comedian.
On February 19, 2013 some of Patrice’s best friends and comedians will gather at the New York City Center for a benefit show in O’Neal’s honor and friendship. Tickets go on sale today at noon and all money raised will benefit Patrice’s mother and family.
Last night we briefly spoke with comedian Wil Sylvince who told us about the event and that it’s not one to miss! He wasn’t lying because the lineup is full of killer comedians and friends of Patrice – Colin Quinn, Jim Norton, Dave Attell, Bill Burr, Robert Kelly, Rich Vos, Keith Robinson, Ian Edwards, Wil Sylvince, and Marina Franklin are going to deliver a huge night of laughs sending up their friend. Purchase tickets now!
If you’ve never seen Patrice in action… these can get you going.
