    Man Up – ABC
Premieres Tuesday, October 18th at 8:30pm

ABC was successful with the Wednesday comedy block so they are trying to do the same thing Tuesday nights. Man Up will follow up Tim Allen’s new Last Man Standing. The show features three men who decide its time to grow up and start acting like men. Led by Dan Fogler (Balls of Fury, Fanboys) the show also stars Mather Zickel who’s been kicking around [adult swim] on Delocated and Childrens Hospital. The show was created by and stars Chris Moynihan who’s a fixture of the Christopher Guest movies. Teri Polo (Meet The Parents triology) and Amanda Detmer (You Me And Dupree, Saving Silverman) also show up in supporting roles.

OUR CALL: I don’t know about this one. It could go either way, ABC could have a hit with Man Up if the word of mouth happens right. They were in a similar situation with Happy Endings last season and lightning could strike again if the jokes are strong enough and don’t fall into simple man-child jokes territory.

Interesting question: How long can a show last, in which the only premise seems to be Tim Allen acting like an ignorant old dude?

Could last a long time. Perfect example is Homer Simpsons.
