The Laugh Button Guide To New Fall Television Comedies

Suburgatory – ABC
Premieres Wednesday, September 28th at 8:30pm
Ya see, it’s the suburbs meets purgatory. This sitcom is intriguing mainly because Cheryl Hines’ profile on Curb Your Enthusiasm has dropped off a bit. The plot features a single father (Jeremy Sisto) who moves his daughter from the big city to the suburbs. The result is a sitcom with the title that’s already annoying to pronounce.
OUR CALL: This show will be wedged right between ABC’s hit Wednesday night sitcoms The Middle and Modern Family. So there’s a good chance it can survive but adding a spicy Latina woman who keeps dropping, “In my country” statements wouldn’t hurt.
