Katt Williams, Joel McHale and the comedy duo of Kevin Heffernan and Steve Lemme are the latest headliners being added to Gilda’s LaughFest, which is scheduled for March 9th to 19th, 2017 in Grand Rapids, Michigan and surrounding communities. Festival officials have also announced that ticket packages and festival badges will go on sale tomorrow, Friday, December 16th at 10am.
A first for LaughFest, Katt Williams’ performance, which is in partnership with Smash Productions, will be held at Van Andel Arena in downtown Grand Rapids as a special 2017 festival encore. The show is scheduled on March 26th at 8pm and is part of the full festival lineup and will be included in LaughFest badges, ticket packages and single ticket sales.
Williams is a comedian and actor who developed his career with numerous sold-out stage shows and starring roles in major box-office hits including the films Rebound, Epic Movie and Friday After Next. Williams also starred in the TV series NYPD Blue, The Tracy Morgan Show, and My Wife and Kids. In 2017, he will join Ed Helms and Owen Wilson in the Warner Bros. film Bastards.
Joel McHale recently wrapped his twelfth and final season of E!’s The Soup in which he satirized pop culture and current events. He is also best known for his starring role on the hit comedy series Community, which wrapped its sixth season on Yahoo after five seasons on NBC. Most recently, McHale can be seen on Fox’s revival of The X-Files. He continues to perform his stand-up act around the country to sold-out audiences and his new show, The Great Indoors, aired October 27th and was picked up for a second season on CBS. McHale released his new book, Thanks for the Money, on October 25th.
Kevin Heffernan and Steve Lemme, who created and starred in the comedy films Super Troopers and Beerfest, will headline performances together at Wealthy Theatre in Grand Rapids, Michigan on Sat. March 18th at 7:30pm and 10pm. They are members of the Broken Lizard Comedy Group and also created the movies Club Dread and The Slammin’ Salmon. In their live stage shows, Heffernan and Lemme perform stand-up, tell stories about the making of their movies, and often enjoy beers with the audience.
Williams, Heffernan and Lemme join previously announced festival headliners, shows and events including Iliza (Shlesinger), Sinbad, the Best of the Midwest Competition, the National Stand-up Comedy Showcase, the Clean Comedy Showcase, FUNderwear Run, Seriously Funny Adventure and others.
