The High Plains Comedy Festival takes over Denver this August 24th – 26th, and the first wave of performers and events has just been announced — with amazing headliners and plenty of standout locals, the fifth annual High Plains lineup promises a great weekend full of shows from hometown heroes The Grawlix (stars of sitcom Those Who Can’t) and T.J. Miller, a live recording of hit podcast My Favorite Murder, and much more.
Co-founded by comic Adam Cayton-Holland, High Plains is presented by truTV (a natural fit, since its the network that hosts Those Who Can’t), and Denver’s own Illegal Pete’s; a homegrown fest that typically features a well-curated mix of up-and-comers among today’s most exciting comics, High Plains is always one of the year’s most talked-about events — taking place primarily on a stretch of the city’s eclectic South Broadway, the fest has a summer camp kind of feel, between packed shows, late night parties, and unforgettable performances.
