Splitsider is reporting that Abby Elliott is departing from Saturday Night Live after 4 seasons on the show. Elliott’s departure is a bit surprising. While we’ve discussed older cast members leaving, it was only briefly mentioned that she would leave if a sitcom she stars in went to series. Right now its unclear if that is the exact reason for the departure.

If this is true this means no more Zooey Deschanel, Rachel Maddow, Meryl Streep, Angelina Jolie and Khloe Kardashian impressions from the actress. It also means there’s currently an even bigger void left for female characters with the already announced departure of Kristen Wiig.
