[adult swim] is going to make one of our favorite comedies of last year into a cartoon! The hilarious blacksploitation spoof comedy Black Dynamite will get reworked into a series that will air on the network in the spring of 2012. The show will bring back many of the cast from the movie to voice the characters of the series, including Michael Jai White and Tommy Davidson.
Spearheaded by Carl Jones (The Boondocks), the series features the voices of Michael Jai White, Tommy Davidson, Kym Whitley and Byron Minns, all of whom starred in the feature. Black Dynamite, animated by Titmouse, is produced by Ars Nova Entertainment. Jones, Jon Steingart and Jillian Apfelbaum executive produce. Brian Ash is co-executive producer.
