The other day I was watching the hit USA TV show Royal Pains, as I sat there watching the credits wondering if I make good life decisions, I noticed our dearly beloved, Jay Chandrasekhar directed the episode I happened to be watching.
I don’t know where this story is going in particular but it’s a swell anecdote and allows me to let you know about some Broken Lizard news…
The comedy troupe behind Super Troopers, Club Dread, Beerfest, and most recently, The Slammin’ Salmon are bringing their brand of comedy in the form of a night of stand-up.
Chandrasekhar along with his comedy brethren, Kevin Heffernan, Steve Lemme, Paul Soter and Erik Stolhanske recorded a night of stand-up at the El Rey Theatre in LA. Broken Lizard: Stands Up will air dirty laundry about the cast as they re-tell behind-the-scenes stories about how they met mixed in with sketches and some good ol’ fashioned joke telling.
The special will air on Comedy Central on September 11th as a DVD version with bonus material hits stores on September 14th. You can pre-order the DVD now
