NYC comedy club, The Creek and The Cave is turning 10 years old and they’re going to throw a party on Saturday, August 25th to celbrate. To top off the night of celebration Colin Quinn will deliver the keynote of the celebration.

“Colin’s work on our stage this summer was such an inspiration to all of us, we were thrilled when he agreed to speak.” said Creek owner Rebecca Trent. Quinn’s keynote will cap off a summer residency at the Creek where he’s been workshopping a new hour of material. Following the keynote, there will be an awards show hosted by Mark Normand.

The celebration will also kick off an artist in residence with photographer Mindy Tucker’s installation “One Year of New York Comedy” which features 500+ photos from NYC’s comedy scene taken over the course of the year from June 2011 – May 2012. The Creek will also take the anniversary celebration to dedicate its new marquee from the kickstarter fundraising efforts they launched last spring.

The club opened in 2002 primarily as a live music venue but made the transition exclusively to comedy by 2007 and currently produces over 100 stand-up, variety, sketch, and improv shows a month and is host to a podcast network, which in its first year, is already producing 16 podcasts with more in development.
