  • Comedy Central announces premiere dates for new Jeselnik, Schumer, and Kroll TV shows

Well, we knew they were coming and no it looks like Comedy Central is looking to get all 2013 on our asses and they’re starting this year. Blasts! The got us on a technicality!

The network’s been developing shows by great stand-up comedians for a while now and just today they announced the premiere dates for new shows including Amy Schumer, Anthony Jeselnik, and Nick Kroll.

    Here we go.

Kroll Show – January 16th – A Sketch comedy show featuring many of Nick Kroll’s favorite characters like Bobby Bottleservice and Fabrice Fabrice. It also introduces new characters like Young Billy Joel. We got the chance to catch an advance preview a few weeks back and there’s high hopes for this one. Expect lots of cameos.

The Jeselnik Offensive – February 19th – Anthony Jeselnik’s weekly topical show which he talks about news “train-wreck” headlines with a panel of two other comedians. This show was originally to be called Midnight with Anthony Jeselnik and feature sketches and monologues, but it appears the show’s been reworked a bit. Initial guests are rumored to include Chelsea Peretti, Pete Holmes, Kumail Nanjiani, and Amir Blumenfeld.

The Ben Show – February 28th – A new street and sketch show from Ben Hoffman (Sports Show with Norm Macdonald). Hoffman does some man on the street action for us as sketch is intermingled. With the success of Billy On The Street this one could have legs as well.

Nathan For You – February 28th – A “docu-reality” series from Nathan Fielder (Jon Benjamin Has a Van). Like Gordon Ramsay and Robert Irvine, Fielder goes into small businesses and helps them make money through unconventional means.

Inside Amy Schumer – April 30th – A show based on the life and comedy of Amy Schumer. It will includes sketches, stand-up and man on the street interviews. This show is one we’re looking forward to the most since we’re big fans of Amy and she recruited a lot of funny people to help write the show (including Tig Notaro). She’s also launching a Spring stand-up tour in support of this show.

In addition to the premiere dates of the above new shows, dates of returning shows/stand-up specials were also announced.

January 8th – Season 2 of The Burn with Jeff Ross
January 13th – Premiere of Anthony Jeselnik: Caligula stand-up special
    January 16th – Season 3.5 of Workaholics
January 18th – Premiere of Kristen Schaal: Live at the Fillmore stand-up special
    February 5th – Season 5 of Tosh.0
February 23rs – Premiere of Katt Williams: Kattpacalypse stand-up special
