Comedy Central Bringing Humor To Comic-Con 2010

by Ilya on July 7, 2010

Going to San Diego Comic-Con this year?

Well between taking your picture with Princess Lea and spending a months paycheck on action figures why not spend some time with your friends at Comedy Central. Con goers will get a chance to sit in on panels for Futurama on July 24th, which will feature all of the cast and writers answering questions about the show that has had more come backs than Jay-Z. On the 23rd the cast and writers of Comedy Central’s newest show Ugly Americans will also be doing a panel. On top of getting to meet the stars and ask question, one lucky attendee will be drawn into an episode of the show (that means get there early!!!).

If you want to avoid the wretched hive of scum and villainy at night (or couldn’t score Comic-con tickets to begin with) head down the road to the San Diego House of Blues for a free night of stand up courtesy of Comedy Central.

Comedian Pete Holmes (of Ugly Americans) will host an event featuring performances from Ugly American cast members Maria Bamford, Kurt Metzger, Matt Oberg and Randy Pearlstein. Chris Gethard and Horatio Sanz who will star in the new series Big Lake, premiering August 17th, will also do sets. And veteran Comedy Central alum Nick Swardson, whose new series Pretend Time with Nick Swardson, premiering October 12th, will be performing along with Adam DeVine of the forthcoming series Workaholics.

So if you get tired looking at spandex and want to get a laugh or two just look for Comedy Central to help you out.
