  • Jim Gaffigan lands pilot deal loosely based on his life

Jim Gaffigan is making a sitcom loosely based on his life. The comedian/actor/father/fan of snacks has landed a pilot deal with CBS to star in a currently unnamed sitcom that would be based loosely on his life. With the theme centering around a guy living with his five kids in a 2 bedroom apartment in NYC.

Gaffigan has teamed up with Rescue Me co-creator Peter Tolan to co-create and co-write the single-camera sitcom. This pilot news comes on the heels of the recent announcement that Gaffigan will write a family book for Crown Publishing. Gaffigan is no stranger to TV as he had a short-lived sitcom a decade ago and supporting roles on My Boys, That 70′s Show, as well as the Ellen Show
