  • Jon Stewart And Stephen Colbert Get Emmy Noms For Their DC Rally

The Daytime Emmy nominations have come down the line and the massive DC rally thrown by Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert’s, The Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear got four nominations. Spreading the two’s Emmy dominance into times when it’s daylight.

The Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear was nominated this year in four categories: “Outstanding Special Class Special,” “Outstanding Special Class Writing,” “Outstanding Achievement in Technical Direction/Electronic Camera/Video Control” and “Outstanding Achievement in Live & Direct To Tape Sound Mixing.”

That’s right! You can’t fuck with outstanding achievements in live & direct to tape sound mixing!

The Daytime Emmy Awards will be presented in two ceremonies. The first, primarily for creative arts categories, will take place on June 17 in Los Angeles. The telecast, primarily for the main programming categories, will take place June 19 in Las Vegas which we be hosted by Wayne Brady.
