Marc Maron, Drew Carey appear in rad Bob Dylan video
Love him or loathe him, there’s no denying that Bob Dylan is a legend. And now the songsmith is getting a box set worthy of his legacy. The Complete Album Collection Vol. One is a 41-CD behemoth that comes with all 35 of his studio albums, six live albums, and two “Side Track” discs with b-sides and rarities. To commemorate this, an interactive video for one of his signature tracks, “Like A Rolling Stone,” has been released. It’s one of the most innovative videos we’ve ever seen.
Set up like a TV, viewers can cycle through 16 channels while the song plays, uninterrupted. Drew Carey hosts The Price is Right. Marc Maron hosts a WTF podcast (with guest Ryan Singer), a Sports Center parody takes place, a children’s show is on, all perfectly lip-synced and switchable throughout the video. You can check out the songs via Dylan’s website, but with 16 channels, and plans to add more, director Vania Heymann tells Mashable, it’s not like you’re going to ever see the same video twice. The video was made by Interlude with Pulse Films and Walter Pictures. It’s a few minutes of your life that you can definitely spare.
