Marc Maron Has To Be Funny On August 9th

Marc Maron is having a pretty banner year with his explosion into the mainstream and recognition for being a strong comedic mind. Sometimes it takes years of hard work and setbacks to become an overnight success. Bit it also makes damn good sense that he’s putting out a new comedy album to strike while the proverbial iron is hot.
Today Comedy Central Records announced their plans to release a new Maron comedy album on August 9th. This Has To Be Funny will be Maron’s first release for the label fur his 4th overall. He recorded the album late last year at Union Hall in Brooklyn, NY. The album addresses a lot of Marc’s issues about relationships, religion, and his current boom of success vs. a sometimes underlying drive to mess it up.
Maron has appeared pretty much anywhere a comedian can, late night shows, tours, and the like; but twice a week his thoughts and in-depth interviews with other funny people can be heard on his now public radio-backed podcast WTF? With Marc Maron.
Marc has a slew of dates lined up in the next few weeks including a Sold Out appearance in NYC, (which a Seth Meyers appearance was just confirmed). And On the street date of the record, you can catch him at the Steve Allen Theater in LA.
