It’s hard to believe that Portlandia‘s already in it’s fourth season, but the quirky IFC comedy is a juggernaut. A sure sign that the Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein series has reached critical mass is the wide array of guest stars they’ve lined up for season 4, which premieres on Thursday, February 27. Actors and comedians Vanessa Bayer, Mark Proksch, Maya Rudolph, and Nick Swardson are among those headed to Portland for the first time, and in keeping with the duo’s musical sensibilities, a ton of musicians will also appear, including Jello Biafra (Dead Kennedys), Duff McKagan (Guns N’ Roses), k.d. lang, Tunde Adebimpe (TV On the Radio), Joshua Homme (Queens of the Stone Age), Jeff Tweedy (Wilco) and Michael Nesmith (The Monkees) will appear on the show. Not enough for you? How about the Portland Trail Blazers and sex columnist Dan Savage?
That massive guest list will also be joined by returning guests including Steve Buscemi, Ed Begley Jr., Jeff Goldblum, Jason Sudeikis, Kumail Nanjiani, Gus Van Sant and Kyle McLachlan. Some of the story lines tackled this season include “bacon mania, couples sharing finances, technology overload, wannabe musicians, and dog lovers.” If you want to get caught up on the first three seasons, you’re in luck, as they’re all streaming on Netflix. The show has already been renewed for a fifth season, which like the fourth, will consist of ten episodes. Armisen and Brownstein made the announcement about the fourth season via Instagram:
