22 cast members of ‘Saturday Night Live’ tell the New York Times their audition story
This Sunday’s New York Times writer David Itzkoff dives into a large piece on 22 cast members of Saturday Night Live as they give first hand accounts about the show, telling their story about their audition process for Lorne Michaels, and how they found out they made it. It even addresses one that didn’t (Marc Maron). The conversation includes Bill Hader, Colin Quinn, Taran Killam, Tracy Morgan, Tim Meadows, Seth Meyers, Jay Mohr, Cheri Oteri, and many others.
We also see that Tracy Morgan was always Tracy Morgan, “I did a gay track runner. And a character named Biscuit, from the inner city, who had a chip on his shoulder because his dad wasn’t there.”
Here’s a clip of Fred Armisen telling his story on video.
