Jim Norton’s Anti-Social Network Rolls Through The Borgata

Jim Norton put together a weekend of shows with his buddies Dave Attell, Bill Burr, and Jim Breuer. The Anti-Social Network created an atmosphere that was anything but anti-social for the thousands of comedy fans who flocked to The Borgata in Atlantic City, NJ to see them.
The Borgata felt like an Opie & Anthony convention as Norton is a regular on the Sirius/XM morning show of the same name. Fans seemed eager to have an encounter with the show’s hosts in addition to the comics. Overheard conversations of, “I heard Opie is watching football in a bar” and “I think they were all eating at the Japanese restaurant,” made for a lot of fun conversation amongst the fans of the show (myself included). One thing was for certain, there was a great buzz, a full casino and a lot of smiles on the gaming floor (which in AC, isn’t that often).
The late show on Saturday Night was simply amazing. Norton kicked things off with a full set then took on the hosting duties for Burr, Breuer, and Attell as he delivered material in between the other sets. It was evident these guys were aware that they were participating in something really special. All of these comics are headline talents, seem to all be friends, and opted to do these shows together instead of just playing four separate headline gigs. If this tour continues beyond this past weekend, it’s a must see for Comedy fans and will be selling out theaters across America.
After their individual sets, all of the guys came up on stage to do a little riffing on each other, the crowd and to create a couple of improved awkward moments. Seeing Attell and Norton jawing back and forth and watching Bill Burr and Jim Breuer just watching them was as funny as the actual banter. Nice job boys, can’t wait until the next time!
And as they should have, every comic took a shot at Norton for the stage columns.
