The Laugh Button will be a part of this year’s SXSW comedy lineup

    SXSW ComedyPOW! POW! POW!

South By Southwest just released their preliminary list of collaborators for its comedy programming. And The Laugh Button will be one of said partners for the annual festival. There will be many updates arriving in the near future, but right now it’s time to celebrate. Other great collaborators for this year’s festival include Funny Or Die, Team Coco, and IFC to name a few.

This year’s SXSW festival will take place March 9-16th in Austin, Texas and it will include some of the world’s funniest comedians as well as musical acts, film, and tech. The comedy events will be open to all SXSW badgeholders as they have shows for stand-up, improv, sketch showcases, live podcast recordings and comedy-focused panels.

This is the first of many forthcoming announcements, we ourselves will have more details on our involvement very soon. Check the SXSW Comedy website for more info and announcements on this year’s lineup.

The Laugh Button’s comedy moments of 2012

    Comedy Moments

Now that 2012 is officially in the books we figured we’d take today to reflect on the year that was 2012. 2012 was a lot of firsts for The Laugh Button – we celebrated the one year anniversary of our live comedy stand-up series, The Laugh Button Live! and it was also the first time we brought the show on the road to Austin for the SXSW festival. It was also officially the first time we put on the event at the NY Comedy Festival after being fans of the fest for so long. We also appeared on our first real, legit podcast in Robert Kelly’s You Know What Dude!! in addition to helping Kelly put on his first live version of said podcast.

In other site news we re-designed things around here to increase the reader experience and the response has been great. In addition we decided to team up with some of our comedy friends to form The Laugh Network and deliver an even better experience for everyone involved.

So before the year gets too far along, we figured we’d recap some of our favorite site and comedy moments from 2012. Here they are, some of our favorite comedy moments from 2012. Read More

    NewsThe Laugh Button’s New Look

Greetings from The TLB Tower if you are reading this you already know that you’re looking at our new site. If you’re keeping count, this is facelift #4 in our 6+ years of existence (and also, that’s creepy).

We got kinda tired of staring at the old peach-looking background and thought it was time for a re-design so here ya go. It’s been a long time coming and we’re psyched about the new layout and hope you will be too.

Here are a few things that we hope will improve functionality for you, faithful readers.

    • Better navigation to access content off the main page
    • Larger content layout for better images and media content
    • Faster access to stories and content
    • Easier and more ways to share stories on social media
    • Faster access to media
    • An easier commenting system
    • Bigger and better featured content boxes

We still have a few more tricks rolling out in. In the meantime surf around share some stories and let us know what you think. As with migrating all information if you happen to come across a broken link, missing feature, or something not behaving like you think it should, let us know on this thread and figure it out.
