Scotsman and host of CBS’s Late Late Show Craig Ferguson is taking center stage with the CD/DVD release of his recent stand-up special, I’m Here to Help (New Wave Dynamics). The special was released earlier this year on Netflix which is a common trend for comedians of late. With all the great outlets to put specials, why not one to the biggest streaming service known to man? On the special Ferguson talks about the intricacies of being a father, and ya know, shark penises. It all makes senses. It’s also not a show for children or Mel Brooks. The stand-up special gives him a chance to cut loose and deliver raw material that would normally be cut from his network television program. This is definitely not the same Ferguson that voiced characters in films such as Brave or How to Train Your Dragon.
The CD/DVD release of the special, which was recorded in Washington D.C. and produced by Jay Chapman will be released on July 23rd. Ferguson has become a bit of a favorite comedian around these parts with his 2011 special, Does This Need To Be Said being one of our favorite releases of 2011. In addition, Ferguson is a complete sleeper of a late night host for us with some of the best openings in the business.
