Jen Kirkman was the guest comedian on Conan and she dropped in to talk about important things like why married couples are awful, and why there’s no person that comes in between a woman and her hair extensions. Kirkman just released her book I Can Barely Take Care of Myself which is about her life without kids. Pick it up and do some reading this weekend.
Pete Holmes was on Conan last night to talk about life, mainly about his problem with the HBO show Game of Thrones. Turns out that realms are a dealbreaker for the comedian. Pete also learned a bit of Britsh accent-ery from a recent trek he took to London for the Fast & Furious 6 movie premiere. Tonight Amy Schumer’s new TV show Inside Amy Schumer premieres on Comedy Central. So we’ll be seeing a lot of her this week as she makes the rounds to promote her new sketch comedy show, which looks hilarious and judging by the first episode the network put out for streaming online, we’re correct. Last night Amy was the guest on Conan and not only did she dish on her formerly dating a pro-wrestler, she also premiered a new clip from the forthcoming show called “Slap Chef” which is just what I need to help me lose weight. Even more interesting is “Sleep Gym.” Someone show me the sign up sheet for that place because I’m going to fill that thing out hard!
Comedian Earthquake stopped by Conan last night to kick off a week of shows the late night guest would be doing in Atlanta’s Tabernacle theater. Earthquake dished some real talk about the enthusiasm many of us have when voting in a Presidential race. We often know who is running for the large part of the ticket, but sometimes have no clue about all the others.
Emily Heller was the comical guest on Conan last night (it’s a thing just go with me). Heller delivered a tight 5 as she ran through ideas like wearing glasses, being a weird kid, and passive agressive rich people. As I type all those topics out they seem uninviting, it’s a good thing Heller is hilarious and immediately began to, as they say in the industry, kill. Then in some weird brother/sister bond there was the Conan O’Brien/Emily embrace that probably made the ginger universe fry from elation. I’m serious! Those folks get excited.
Ian Edwards dropped by Conan last night for a tight five. We caught Edwards a few weeks back at the Patrice O’Neal benefit show in NYC. He was hilarious then and he’s hilarious in this sketch. Notice a trend?
Anthony Jeselnik showed up on Conan last night to talk about his new show, The Jeselnik Offensive. And as we predicted, was is normal offensively awesome self. The comedian talked about his family and took some shots at Viacom biwig Sumner Redstone.
