As we capped off our comedy festivities at SXSW, The Laugh Button and Gotham Comedy Club got together to produce Robert Kelly’s Nasty Show. A special one night only stand-up comedy showcase chock full of no-holds-barred uncensored comedy. Robert Kelly hosted comedians Mark Normand, Matt Braunger, Aisha Tyler, and Big Jay Oakerson. Five baller comedians being as nasty as they want to be and take on any topic they’d like. Both the 8pm and 10pm shows were incredible successes. Backstage or in the crowd, everyone had an incredible time. Don’t believe us? Here are the pictures to prove it. Also, be on the lookout for some behind-the-scenes video. Read More
Tuesday was the big day for us Laugh Buttoneers, as we teamed up with Gotham Comedy Club and SXSW Comedy to produce a stand-up comedy showcase of our own. Robert Kelly would host two back-to-back shows of “The Nasty Show” featuring comedians that were on hand to deliver some of their nastiest and crudest material. In other words, downright hilarity ensued.
The day began with us meeting up with Robert Kelly on the floor of the festival’s convention center to go out, see what’s going on with new technology, and see what’s going on during interactive. The floor didn’t know what was ready for it as Kelly ran through the floor like a kid in a candy store talking to people about the latest in gadgetry. We won’t reveal all of the spoilers but headphones were tried on, cell phone cases were played with, and women on computers were argued with. Read More

This week played host to our final live stand-up comedy show, The Laugh Button Live! We ended on a high note by hosting a night with Rich Vos and all of his friends which included Alison Forns, Dan Soder, Bonnie McFarlane, Louis Katz, and Wil Sylvince.
Vos played host as the crew took jabs at each other on and off the stage, told jokes, got personal, made people cringe and delivered a killer night of stand-up comedy. We couldn’t have thought of a better way to end a year of great live stand-up comedy shows that included a presenting Robert Kelly’s first live podcast taping, a trip to Austin, and the celebration of our one-year anniversary. The second half of the year of shows kicked off with Big Jay Oakerson and Jim Gaffigan dropping in on our show. Then we presented a book release party, put on our first ever show a the NY Comedy Festival and well, that brings us to last night. Read More
The holiday season is now upon us and I still have Halloween candy in my house. But that’s an idea I like way better than the KMart commercial for Joe Boxer that keeps repeating “the lights, the lights, the lights, the lights.”
Yup, we’re now going to be subject to a tremendous amount of sale ads and it will not be awesome. We stuffed our faces yesterday and gave thanks for things, then the next day we went out and waited in lines and fought pushy people to get more of those things we’re thankful for. Score!
So what did we do this week? Well, we ate a lot of food and made a lot of lists. Read More
