    Dave Attell

Dave Attell is going to release a new stand-up special and we’re pumped! Attell is easily one of the greatest living stand-up comedians on the planet. Don’t think so? Try to conjure up someone more respected, more imitated, and more funny? Can’t do it can you? Also, “more funny” isn’t grammatically correct. Attell isn’t just making his return to Comedy Central this weekend in a small way; rather Dave’s dropping a double dose of depravity and debauchery twice on TV.

First up, is his new stand-up special, Road Work. Attell’s last HBO special, Captain Miserable that was released 7(!) years ago. Way too long if you ask me. The special showcases Attell’s trek through five different comedy clubs in the nation. Rather than see his killer material on one stage, fans will get the chance to see him destroy on multiple stages within one special. Shot guerrilla style. Road Work premieres Saturday, April 12th at 12midnight. Then will be available for $5 download on CC: Stand-Up Direct right afterward, then Video On Demand April 15th.

Then, stick around for Attell’s second show, a new late night, uncensored stand-up comedy show, Comedy Underground with Dave Attell. It’s the first show the comedian’s had on Comedy Central since 2008’s reboot of The Gong Show. While that show was terrific fun, Attell seems best suited in a late night, uncensored environment. Comedy Underground taped late last year at The Comedy Cellar at The Village Underground in NYC and features some fantastic stand-up from some of the best comedians working today. We attended one of these tapings live and the lineups are stacked with great talent – Nikki Glaser, Joe DeRosa, Jeff Ross, Brad Williams, Artie Lange, Triumph The Insult Dog, Jermaine Fowler, Robert Kelly, Big Jay Oakerson, Amy Schumer, and Ari Shaffir to name a few. Comedy Underground with Dave Attell premieres at 1am and airs every Saturday night/Sunday morning afterward for 8 weeks. Do not miss this one.

All that’s left is the promise of preview clips. Done!
