Last night marked the return of Jon Stewart to The Daily Show. As fans of the show already know, Stewart spent his summer in the Middle East to direct a movie. In early June, Stewart handed the reigns over to correspondent John Oliver who ran the show (very well we might add) until the show’s hiatus 2 weeks ago. Stewart made his return last night with an intro to the show that suggested that the time overseas might’ve changed him just a bit. Oliver and Jessica Williams tried a few combo moves to get Jon back to normal but to no luck. We were treated to a few impressions of Larry The Cable Guy, Freddy Mercury, Hitler and a smurf until a heavy hitter is called in to make things right.
Here’s also the first segment with Oliver and Stewart featuring a personal favorite quirk of the Oliver hosting duties… the Carlos Danger dance.
