I’ve made it a point to watch this clip for the last few years on this day. It’s Jon Stewart’s monologue on the first night The Daily Show returned to air after the September 11th attacks. It’s emotional, poignant, and an example of how comedy doesn’t always need to be funny to evoke an emotion, it just needs to be honest.
