    Iliza Shlesinger dropped by Late Night With Jimmy Fallon Friday night for a stand-up set. The Last Comic Standing winner has been kicking around hosting both The Weakly News and the newly launched TV show Excused but Shlesinger wasn’t on hand to promote either of those shows. Rather she discussed her texting habits and used her dog as a prop. Don’t quote me on this but it might be the first time a dog was ever used as a prop for a late night comedian’s 5 minutes.

    Jason Segel Hosted SNL: Don’t Tell That To Kermit The Frog

    Yay! Marshall Eriksen himself, Jason Segel hosted the Thanksgiving episode of Saturday Night Live. A great idea for Segel is comically hilarious and out doing the rounds to promote the new Muppets movie, one which Segel is getting credit for helping resurrect. Heading into the show we expected some hilarity and hopefully Kermit and co would be along for the ride, as The Muppets have a long history with SNL – fun fact for you not old enough to remember, The Muppets first appeared on SNL in the 6th episode of the first season in a scene with Gilda Radner.     Ricky Gervais Will Return As Host Of Golden Globes

    Don’t ever say that controversy doesn’t help grab headlines and ratings, because Ricky Gervais will indeed return for his third consecutive go as the host of this year’s Golden Globes host. And you know what? Good for him! Gervias actually managed to make usually boring award shows fun last year, though he went on a tear through some of Hollywood’s biggest stars, leaving some whining about his level of taste.     Jerry Seinfeld Tackles Technological And Medical Advancements On Letterman

    Monday night right after the SXSW Showcase at Gotham Comedy Club as we were saying our goodbyes to head out into the night when we suddenly heard a distinctive voice which turned out to be that of Jerry Seinfeld. The comedian was about to walk into the club’s main room to work on the finishing touches of some new material. Material that turned out to be for his latest appearance on late night TV.
