On January 11th, Comedy Central premiered the final season of Workaholics, the seventh [and final] season. In previous seasons, 3 college dropouts, Adam, Anders, and Blake, are trying to balance their work and home lives in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. These guys work and live together, and have been best friends since college. This season brings a whole new life to the pranks, jokes and laughs that Adam, Anders and Blake pursue. The show is definitely going out in style and is ending with a bang. In comparison to other seasons, this season brings even better jokes, even crazier parties and even bigger pranks!
The Final Season contains 10 fun filled episodes with an abundance of partying, office pranks and jokes to last a lifetime. The guys even create a festival called “Faux Chella” to impress some girls they meet at the bar, which turned out to be and that’s only the beginning. Adam, Blake and Ders find themselves in a dangerous situation on a trip to the mountains, competing on a reality dating show and even become “party gods” after they start getting paid to throw raging parties! They even try to steal some drugs to impress some girls they met staying at a TelAmeriCorp time share, and that’s just at home! In the office, they guys become the “main office pranksters,” get their coworkers to try weed and then sell it with Alice’s Dad’s new product and try to get rid of a motivational speaker that Alice brought into the office after she tried to interfere with the guys’ office awards show.
The Final Season DVD has a lot to offer including deleted scenes, outtakes, a wrap reel, and “the final shot.” It was great to see behind the scenes and watch the three crack inside jokes and have a lot of candid fun with each other. There were jokes, dance moves, mess ups and much more in the outtakes. The deleted scenes were awesome as well. They were very fun to watch and sometimes they even tied things in the aired episodes together. The wrap reel was also very hilarious and included line mess ups and more fun, candid times with other co-stars who played Tez, Bill, Jillian and Alice. Last but definitely not least, “the final shot.” This was absolutely worth watching. These guys have been together for 7 years taping this show and is was so great to see them commemorate that and it was awesome just to see how close these guys were. They were so thankful for the opportunity and the people they had on set, there was even a little bit of crying (by Adam that is). Adam Devine, Anders Holm, Blake Anderson, and Kyle Newacheck wrote this story line and it was great to see the passion they had for this project.
Watch the boys sign off from the last shot of the last episode.
Having binged all of the Workaholics seasons, “The Final Season” was a great way to end the show. The blooper reels, and the extras on the DVD really made it special. There is a ton of laughter, jokes, pranks, and a lot of partying. These extras really commemorated the everyday lives of Adam, Ders and Blake, and was a great way to end the show.
