Last night the Friars Club’s 5th annual Comedy Film Festival officially began. The night kicked off at NYU’s Cantor Film Center where of He’s Way More Famous Than You was showcased. The cute comedy stars Hailey Feiffer on her quest to make a hit movie in order to restore her once promising film career. The cast agreed that it was a lot of fun to shoot the film, saying in a way they were all portraying a part of their true selves within their on screen characters. Each character brought something to the table. Michael Urie who played the director in the film, and actually directed the real film, he portrayed a strong character who knows where his life is headed. On the flip side, Ryan Spahn plays Ryan Feiffer who is a loveable guy that brings vulnerability to the film, unsure of where his life will lead him. Not to mention the big name stars that happens to drop in such as Ralph Macchio, Jesse Eisenberg, and even Ben Stiller.
It’s a fun film that is sure to stir up some great laughs while you watch Hailey’s struggles to create her very own masterpiece. The film airs again Thursday, April 4th at the Anthology Film Archives (2nd Ave. and 2nd St.) at 7PM. Get some tickets here.
