“We’re back, dummies!”
A few weeks ago, after we had seen reunions of The Office, Parks and Recreation, and Community, we wrote a piece asking the question of just how long will we have to wait before we get a 30 Rock reunion?? Well now we have the answer. July 16th!
Yes, it has been announced that the whole gang is going to be coming back for an hour special on NBC. As expected, it’s going to be shot remotely from everyone’s respective houses. But from the sound of the statement, it seems like the whole gang is coming back to play again. Additionally, it is slated to have stars from all across the NBC/Universal world and also “highlight new and returning programming” on NBC, Bravo, USA, E!, Syfy, and more. So you can probably expect a lot of (Jack Donaghy’s favorite thing in the world) synergy here.
“We’re all happy to have this excuse to (remotely) work together again for NBC,” Tina Fey and 30 Rock executive producer Robert Carlock said in a statement. “To quote Kenneth the Page, there are only two things we love in this world, television and everyone.”
The special airs on July 16th on NBC at 8/7c. It will also be available on USA, Syfy, E!, Bravo, Oxygen, CNBC, and the Peacock streaming service starting the next day.
So let’s heat up some Cheesy Blasters, open up a bottle of Donaghy Estates Sparkling Wine, and watch Liz Lemon once again try to have it all.
