A Colonel Sanders Lifetime mini-movie parody wasn’t something we knew we needed

2020 has been a rather unpredictable year. From the pandemic to all the protests and all else in between (anyone remember the murder hornets scare), it’s basically been a wildcard of a year. Also on the list of things we weren’t expecting was a Lifetime mini-movie that finds Mario Lopez playing a seductive Colonel Sanders. Really.
A Recipe For Seduction seems pretty crazy. From the official synopsis: “As the holidays near, an heiress (played by Bosch alum Justene Alpert) contends with the affections of a suitor handpicked by her mother. When the handsome chef arrives with his secret recipe and a dream, he sets in motion a series of events that unravel the mother’s plans.”
What can we expect? Is this just a 15 minute trailer for KFC? Probably. But is it still worth a watch for the sheer absurdity factor? We think so.
A Recipe For Seduction airs on Lifetime this Sunday at 12 PM ET.
