A look back at some of Cloris Leachman’s funniest performances

January 27, 2021      Andrew Buss      Features, In Memoriam

Cloris Leachman has one of those careers where she could do practically anything. She definitely could pull off some intense and really good work in more dramatic fare, which in turn earned her an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. But she also had the ability to be really funny as well.

Over the years, she showed off her comedy chops in films such as Young Frankenatein, High Anxiety, History of the World Part I, Spanglish, Beerfest, The Longest Yard, and Bad Santa, as well as on television on shows such as The Mary Tyler Moore Show, The Facts of Life, Malcolm in the Middle, Raising Hope, Two and a Half Men, The Office, Hot in Cleveland, Bob’s Burgers, and The Simpsons. Also of note is her appearance on the Roast of Bob Saget, claiming she was really there to “f*ck John Stamos”.

In honor of Cloris Leachman’s passing today at 94, let’s take a look back at some of her funniest moments.
