Guys We F****ed is on its way to becoming a TV show.
Yesterday, it was announced that a sitcom based the wild popular comedy podcast Guys We F****d: The Anti Slut-Shaming Podcast is in the works with The Tannenbaum Company. The series will be written by the podcast’s creators and hosts Corinne Fisher and Krystyna Hutchinson, plus Kristin Belka Maier.
The show will is described as “a comedy about a cocky shopgirl and a people pleasing bartender who realize they are platonic soulmates while working at a New Jersey strip mall. Together, they tackle female adulthood while acting as therapists to local men and to each other.”
Fisher, Hutchinson, and Maier will also serves as executive producers for the series, which is being produced for Fox.
The podcast is often credited with essentially creating the young women sex and dating podcast genre which spawned many imitators that have grown large fanbases that spawned large national tours and exclusive deals with larger DSPs. A few years back GWF inked a large exclusivity deal with Luminary locking in the show exclusively to that platform. A deal that recently changed again putting their distribution back on multiple podcast platforms while still working with Luminary.
