Last year, we reported that there was talks that a Wedding Crashers sequel may potentially be happening. It sounded promising at the time, but today, we got confirmation.
Production Weekly posted a notice today that Wedding Crashers 2 will be starting production for HBO Max in August. The sequel will reunite original stars Vince Vaughn, Owen Wilson, Isla Fisher, and Rachel McAdams with the first film’s director, David Dobkin. Evan Susser has written the script for the sequel. According to the notice, filming will be taking place in Puerto Rico.

What will be interesting to see is how the characters have evolved (if at all) in the past 15+ years, and how the concept of crashing weddings to meet women will adapt to the MeToo era. But seeing as how successful the first film was at the box office, hopefully the audience comes back this time around.
