Peacock released the trailer for the Pitch Perfect spinoff TV series Bumper In Berlin. The show will pick up several years after we last saw Adam Devine’s character of Bumper Allen from the Pitch Perfect movies. Bumper is washed up after a music career didn’t really get started. After all he left the Treblemakers to become a backup singer for John Mayer in Pitch Perfect and returned in Pitch Perfect 2 to front the Tone Hangers (and serve as a security guard at Barden University).
Fast forward to modern day and Bumper, still a Barden Securty guard, gets a call from competing German a capella group Das Sound Machine’s Pieter Krämer (Flula Borg) that a song he performed on TikTok goes viral in Germany. Bumper then goes to Berlin in an attempt to revive his career.
While in Germany he gets paired up with a management team that includes Heidi (Sarah Hyland) a potential love interest, so get ready for some more of that great Haley/Andy report we had on Modern Family. The show also stars Jameela Jamil fresh off her run on She-Hulk on Disney+ as Bumper’s foil.
Bumper in Berlin premieres on Peacock on November 23rd.
