Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, and Steve Martin killed it this weekend at award shows

It’s that time of year again. With the Oscar over, it means the award season is finally over, which means that we can finally get back to just enjoying movies instead of fighting over them.

This past award season, much has been said about how great Brad Pitt was doing with his funny acceptance speeches. And while they were funny, nobody has been as funnier, naturally, than a comedian at an award show.

This past weekend, we were treated to three instances of this. First up, when Adam Sandler won the Independent Spirit Award for Best Actor for Uncut Gems. The speech basically served as a major f*** you to the Oscars for overlooking him, and he delivered undoubtedly the funniest speech of the Award season.

Next up, who better to open up a hostless Oscars than two previous hosts themselves, Chris Rock and Steve Martin. It was the teaming up we had no idea we ever wanted, but quite honestly, we are so happy we got them. If Andy Samberg and Sandra Oh could turn presenting an award into hosting a different award show, we can only hope the same would happen here!
