25 years after Happy Gilmore’s release, Adam Sandler is once again sending the ball back to its home.
In celebration of the film’s anniversary today, Sandler posted a 30 second clip to his social media accounts. “Okay. It’s been 25 years since I’ve done this,” Sandler says. “Let’s see what happens”. He adds “Shooter McGavin, this is for you.” Naturally, Sandler nails the shot, despite having stated previously that he’s “terrible at golf”.

Also paying tribute to the 1996 comedy is Ben Stiller, who played the sadistic (or in his words, “misunderstood,” as he was quick to correct us) orderly who looks after Happy’s grandma. Stiller wrote “That’s a beautiful swing Mr. Gilmore. Congrats on your anniversary, and being such a loving grandson. So happy to be a small part of taking good care of her during her “golden years”.”
