Aidy Bryant explains why she’s being compared to “Seinfeld” star Wayne Knight

Saturday Night Live star Aidy Bryant took time off from her summer break to visit Conan, where host O’Brien asked Bryant about a recent Life & Style item that claims she’d love to play Newman (made famous by Wayne Knight) from Seinfeld. When O’Brien said he didn’t see it, the actress quipped, “I guess I see the resemblance in my heart.” (Actually, it turns out she panic-answered a question that got shouted her way on The Big Sick red carpet, and it’s so not a huge deal, but now we’d really love to see it.)

The always charming Bryant also gave an update on her dog’s “ass distress,” and told a story about getting in trouble for wearing a toe ring:
