Amazon cancels “Truth Seekers”, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost comedy series, after one season

Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, best known for their work together in Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and The World’s End, recently teamed up again for the Amazon Prime series, Truth Seekers. The series found the comedian duo, who also created the series, playing a pair of paranormal investigators. However, even after mostly solid critical response, the show has been canceled after one season.
In a now-deleted Instagram video, Frost announced the news. “ Sadly, Truth Seekers will not be returning for a second season. Truth Seekers has not been renewed, which is a massive kick in the willy for me.”
He continues, “We really put our all into this – our heart and soul, and blood in some cases, so to not come back is really sad for us. It’s a shame. I think we had lots of lovely ghost stories to tell – stories that will remain now untold. If you liked the show, thank you. And if you didn’t, are you happy now? Happy now?”
So far, Pegg has not weighed in on the cancellation. But hopefully we’ll be able to see the pair reuniting in another project again sometime.
