With Breaking Bad spinoff talk show, Talking Bad now a thing in the past, Chris Hardwick has a lot of time on his hands now that he only hosts two TV shows. Well, have no fear, Hardwick will again become a hosting triple threat. In addition to hosting Talking Dead and Comedy Central’s @Midnight, AMC is turning Hardwick’s web series All-Star Celebrity Bowling into a TV series.
Previously produced for the Nerdist’s Youtube channel, the series features Hardwick and Team Nerdist (three comics/Nerdist podcasters, employees, etc.) facing off against celebrities, nerd icons, and comedians in a good ole fashioned bowl-o-rama. The 4v4 tournament vies for a $1,000 prize to be donated to the winning team’s charity of choice, with the top scoring team at the end of the season banking an additional $10,000 for their cause.
The TV pilot is co-hosted by Randy and Jason Sklar and features Team Nerdist butting heads with Jon Hamm and Team Mad Men. Prevous games have featured the cast and crew of Doctor Who, Breaking Bad, as well as beloved comedians Nick Thune, Bo Burnham, Jimmy Fallon, Conan O’Brien and more. All-Star Celebrity Bowling is expecting to hit the air in 2015.
