Andy Dick is facing charges for assault with a deadly weapon

Comedian and actor Andy Dick has been no stranger to controversy and personal troubles over the course of his career. Whether he’s getting himself kicked off of Jimmy Kimmel Live! for being creepy towards the other guest or he’s getting into fights with Jon Lovitz at The Laugh Factory or he’s being called out in the midst of the MeToo boom due to unwanted sexual advances, Dick has become fodder for tabloids many times over the years. And this weekend was no different.

According to Elisa Jordana on her YouTube show Kermit and Friends, Dick was arrested over the weekend after he assaulted his lover Lucas over the head with a metal chair. “He could’ve killed him,” Jordana added. Lucas was taken to Cedar-Sinai, but it is not reported how his condition is.

Dick was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon, which was confirmed by the LAPD. His bail was set at $50,000, which he made and was released yesterday morning.

Jordana then went onto talk about Dick’s recent behavior, which has only gotten worse over the last few months apparently. He started getting “very aggressive” when under the influence of alcohol.

“It was getting worse and worse and worse,” she said. “Every day there was some kind of problem. There were signs something was going to happen. It doesn’t happen out of the blue. When I heard he was in jail, I wasn’t that surprised.”

She added, “There are warning signs with people. It doesn’t happen out of the blue. When I heard he was in jail, I wasn’t that surprised,” Jordana says. Ultimately, she’s glad that he was in prison, because she knows he’s at least being watched. “We don’t have to worry that he is going to die today.”

In addition to his behavior getting worse, Dick was apparently evicted from his home recently and started staying in a hostel. However, he was also kicked out of the hostel after bringing 11 of his friends in with him. Additional trouble he’s been causing is stealing wine glasses and cutlery from a restaurant and calling up Jordana to ask her to come to a restaurant he was eating at because he didn’t have any money.
