The news and support for Andy spread far and wide, even getting shout outs from Daniel Tosh on Tosh.0 who held an auction to raise money. More than $100K dollars were raised for Andy’s bills. Then today, on Thanksgiving, we were given an update that nobody wanted to hear as Walsh broke the news that Andy had lost his battle with cancer.
*NO MORE DONATIONS PLEASE*
Andy passed away this afternoon at Hollywood Presbyterian. His mom, Ruby, and his brother Simon were all with him.
I don’t know what else to say. He was a great guy. Listen to his album on Spotify or download it or whatever. He’s hilarious.
Thanks for everything you all did to help. Have a good Thanksgiving.
Love,
Brendon
It’s heartbreaking to say the least. Many more comedians have shared stories about their late friend, all of which describing Ritchie in a similar manner, sweet, kind and friendly. Be sure to give someone you love a hug today.
Rest in Peace Andy.

RIP to Andy Ritchie. I saw him do stand up in Minneapolis when I was in high school and it made me want to do comedy. Such a funny dude.
